Status Updates From Wages, Price and Profit

The ideas laid out by Marx in this book are simple and deeply informative. One of my favourite examples is:

If you have commodity A (let’s say carrots)
If you have commodity B (let’s say peas)

You can exchange 24 peas for 1 carrot

24P = 1C

Then all other things being equal there must be some third value that these two items are equivalent to in order to allow them to be bartered.

This third thing is LABOUR.

This book, published after his death by his daughter, is a written form of a talk Marx gave at a conference in response to a trade union with terrible practical ideas of improving capitalism. It’s basically a 150 year old diss track by Marx
