(And there was a simile involving a treadmill earlier in the book. Did this author think at all while she was writing?) How much more contrived can we get?

This book is a garbage fire and here is the fourth typo I've seen and by this point I'm skimming.

I can't do anything but laugh at this utterly contrived relationship conflict. It's worse than high school and makes no sense. I am honestly just baffled at what's happening right now. How did I like this when I was 11?

Ok remember when I said this book was unintentionally erotic because--and there is no way I could make this up--the protagonist is now LITERALLY making rainbows with an old man.

This idiot was introduced to a civilization, escaped torture with eleven prisoners, introduced democracy, and killed the king in the space of 20 pages and I'm STILL bored out of my mind.

I know, I'm avoiding Way of Kings at this point, but I wanted to see if this book is as good as I remember and oh boy it is NOT. This was one of the books my 6th grade teacher read to us and made us love, no matter what genre or quality. This is so bad an unintentionally erotic ("Colin tethered Black Prince and went inside") ("...blue as sapphires glittering in the sun, eyes so penetrating...") I can't wait.
