just finished part one. i'm reading this because david turpin said it inspired him when creating 'ancestors' and i think it'd be an interesting read. lots of mentions of 'the valley of shadow' which is in the script of the movie. i'd go more into my thoughts about it if i had more characters to write lol. i'm enjoying it though! gotta wrap my head around the 1910s language though
