I've been sucked in faster than any other book before.

This book is AMAZING. Writing is incredible, the voice is so real and true. I want to give Amanda all the hugs...

I have already fallen in love with Amanda. Whatever happens, I will continue to hope and love her like I would love any sister.

Ok, so Amanda is creating a new life for herself and pushing through some dark times in her life . But it isn't until she starts smoking pot that gets her to feel brave? Oh please.

"You can have anything," she said, "once you admit you deserve it." This book is very good so far.

I don't like the writing.

This is a really powerful and important book. And it was really good. Parts were slow. And I didn't love the way Bee outed Amanda although I see that was key to the plot and I don't know how it could have been different. This book is a big deal and I'm glad to have read it.

I knew now--I believed, now--that I deserved to be loved.

Not going to lie. I'm skimming the religion parts but at least they make sense in a story in a small southern town.

I guess it's the atmosphere but this reminds me of Dumplin. I like that everyone is hiding something here and being very deliberate in the face the present to the world.

This is good. I like Amanda's narration and the structure of the story. Kind of reminding me of Speak. I feel like the story is Important because it is but I also feel like it wouldn't be getting as much attention if it wasn't about a transgender girl. But maybe that's the whole point?

OH GAWD. This just got intense.

this really is a quick read.

This is an easy enough read, full of teen angst.

When is she going to tell everyone! She was so close to telling bee! I think bee would have excepted her and that was the perfect chance to tell bee; when no one else was there!
