It's soo boring

The cover is so tragic for a book that has ultimately been very happy and optimistic.

I want to finish this but it's 10:30pm and I was meant to go to bed an hour ago so I could wake up at a decent time.

Thank you Sharon for this recommendation, I'm very excited to dive into this.

The narrator of this audiobook is so amazing! I've never felt so much emotion while listening to an audiobook!

Only have a couple of hours left on this one ... which I'm kind of sad about. I'm waiting for the real conflict though ... there doesn't seem to have been a lot of that in the present day chapters so far.

So Amanda was originally from Jackson... Which is where I am from originally. And it's all too true about how horribly she would have been treated. :(

Really good though speed with which she dives into life in Lambertville only days after leaving horrific life and violent encounter in Smyrna is rushed. Parties/friends/boyfriend in only a week after arriving? No. A few more pages spent on slower opening would have been more true to character.

Reading on my coffee break at work. This feels a little like mean girls with more LGBT issues and more religious connotations. Still easy reading so far and I'm just glad #ownvoices trans lit is a thing.

New audiobook ... on chapter 3

Listening to this during my root canal today. I've got some concerns going in but I figured why not...

I literally can't stop reading. I'm so invested in this book.

I was scared to start this one, but...so far, so good.

just finished the bit where Amanda goes to church with Anna and her family, and i was expecting to wrinkle my nose and roll my eyes at the religious stuff. but it actually struck a chord with me. so much of this book is doing that, despite the "plot" not being all that engaging.

I'm loving this so much.

This book is breaking me and I'm not even half way. I've never related to a book this much.

Taking a break from Empire of Storms to read this.
