What Rhonda’s parents did to her, especially for her funeral. Omg. So cruel. I am burning inside thinking about this.

I knew this would happen but it's not making it any easier to control my emotions at work.

Will be un-hauling this book as I no longer wish to have a copy of the author's work and support them, but I would also like to try and appreciate their work. Dilemma.

That situation went pretty bad if you ask me. Grant got mad because Amanda kept pushing to know more about his family life and right afterwards her dad walks in. Pretty awkward. Luckily, her dad was pretty chill during the situation but he obviously was still upset that she had a boy over. What would’ve have happened if they were caught with Amanda and Grant doing something else?

Amanda had a flashback about when her parents were having an argument in the middle of the night. It ended so badly that her mom came into the room and took her to go stay with her grandparents and left her dad. I can now conclude that her parents marriage together really wasn’t working..and it’s mainly because of Amanda.

Amanda and Bee got caught smoking behind the art building by the gym teacher and now Amanda’s extremely scared and nervous that she’ll get expelled. But I highly doubt that would happen. I pictured the gym teacher to be a short, chubby but also muscular man, with balding hair.

So, so far muddin’ with Grant and his friends is going well for Amanda. I hope it stays that way. They attempted the honesty game and I can tell they’ll use the same game later in the future to get closer to one another. But what’s going to happen when Amanda finally lets Grant know the truth?

So Amanda is now going to go “muddin” with Grant and his friends...in the woods. I just know something bad is bound to happen. I don’t really like or trust Grant’s friends in this book so I guess I’ll see if this will determine what kind of people they are. This makes me think if they will come out of this trip happy or not.

I can tell that Amanda is starting to become more and more comfortable with Grant which is great. I’m glad that she is feeling that way. But I don’t get why she would invite him over. For one, if her dad did end up coming home early that could’ve caused serious problems. And also, what if Grant got the wrong idea and tried something? Kind of glad he said he couldn’t.

It’s very ironic to me how Amanda is transgender yet going to church with her friend’s super Christian family. Obviously she didn’t want to go but only went because Anna begged her. I couldn’t imagine knowing I was transgender and sitting with a family that is extremely homophobic and against basically everything Amanda is. And they don’t even know it. Why did Amanda even still go?
