Status Updates From I Funny TV: A Middle School...

Archetypes: For my story I think it is a comedy. I think it is a comedy because the main character tells jokes, and alot of funny things happen. I also think this is a comedy because on the first page of the book the main character had me laughing.

The main character is Jamie Grimm. The story is about Jamie competing on a tv show to become the funniest kid in America. It takes place New York. Jamie is invited to join the show, and is told from Jamies point of view. The book shows how Jamie uses humor to handle pressure, make friends and be funny,

Visualize: While reading I Funny TV, I could visualize Jamie telling jokes on the stage under the spotlight. I imagined the crowd laughing loudly. I imagined Jamie being nervous, but excited before going on stage. And lastly, I could imagine the funny scenes of the book.

Connections: The connections that I have made are text, to the world. In my book the main character has Polio, a disease where you cant move your legs, and so did the 43rd president of the United States Of America, Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Characterization : The main character in my books believes that since he has a disease, and is in a wheel chair, he is different from everybody. He feels this way because a bully keeps telling him he is worthless, useless, ect.

GENRE: This books genre is realistic fiction. I know this because, the events in this book could happen in real life. Some examples of this are the kid getting in a accident and then has to go in a wheel chair, of even the kid winning a contest for funnest kid in world I could totally see that happening in real life.

this book is about a kid that got in an accident, because of this he is in a wheelchair. In the hospital the nurses thought laughing is the best meds, so they give him a joke book and the kid gets funny. Then he goes to a competition that he wins and gets 1,000,0000 dollars.

The characterization in the book I'm reading is when the main.Character in my book won the contest for being the funniest kid.For 1 million dollars he feels happy and surprised and he collects his money.And he doesn't really say anything because he is in shock but he thinks about what he is gonna buy and how he is going to save some money which he doesn't and.Spends all his money.

I visualize by imaging what the place looks like the people are in and how the characters look but.I also visualize how the people could solve a bad situation because half of the books I read.The people solve the bad situations with bad solutions and it kinda gets me.Mad and I get they have to be in bad situations and make mistakes in those Situations for the book to be good but its so easy to solve
