I’m no expert on hugging—having only experienced it once or twice in my life— Every little detail Moira reveals of herself and her past, breaks my heart a little more each time. She's a bad ass, definitely not a quitter.

Holy crap is this good! Moira is definitely a bad ass, can't wait to see how this story unravels.

I'm enjoying this. It's not really grand or spectacular (yet) but it is keeping my attention. I think it will be a 3.5 when I'm done, unless some major plot twists come up...

I'm getting into this finally. The first chapter almost made me quit, but I'm glad I stuck with it. And now, knowing why it was done that way, I understand it. But I don't have to like it. lol

This person is using the words concubine and prostitute interchangeably and it's driving me crazy.

Interesting right from the start, how refreshing.

Again, I really wish there was less emphasis on romance but I like that there's a repeated theme of respect and equivalent exchange in the romantic aspects. Because let's face it, this could have gone bad fast if Keenan was more of a douchebag.

Getting rather interesting. I still rather wish this didn't have a romantic element but I have to admit that Moira and Keenan's growing respect for one another is decently handled.

I actually just had to look up when this story was set because as readable as it is, the language sounds extremely modern. 1903 - yeah no, Moira's thoughts sound like those of a present day 20-something. Terribly jarring at times.
