The bulk of the book was written in 2000‒2001, crazy. I just skimmed it for keywords to refresh my Python. The plan is to reread it more closely in the future & also follow all his references. I definitely don't think it's a good entry point anymore, it was amazing in the past and just outdated now (esp. as it's about Python 2). My next read is not going to be too serious, just to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Can't believe it was published in 2004. It was the best Python book. Mark Pilgrim disappeared from the Web in 2011, so his books most likely will never be updated. Python 2 is done for after 2020. Nostalgia. Was it Karlovy Vary, when I first started it? The ‘dive’ approach taught me that there is more than 1 way to teach (haha). I haven't looked at “Dive Into Python 3” again yet, but this one is definitely obsolete.
