Concept is alright, even if it borrows some portions pretty heavily from Sci-fi before it (Star Trek, stormtroopers). Writing is well paced, but needs some polishing. Seems like the backstory could have been laid better, either before or immediately after the initial scene, instead of scattered about in brief flashbacks or 'insightful' moments.
