It's looking like I might DNF this. Interesting concept, terrible execution. I wanted to like this, but I can't get past the writing - too much tell instead of show, I'm not feeling compelled any of the characters, the story and themes are a bit a-jumble, and the setting is lacking vibrancy, which I don't understand because the idea of an India-inspired setting, and sapphic women bringing down an empire sounds great
