Ugh. If I were 25 years younger this would probably be excellent.

She walks toward me, takes her cloak off and places it around my shoulders. "Better?"
"Yes. Thank you." I almost swoon in the warmth of the cloak. I breathe in her scent, a mix of wildflowers and lavender. I have to remind myself to focus.
She's wearing a pair of close-fitting trousers and a tunic. A thick belt encircles her waist and from it hangs a gleaming dagger.

"You scared me" i scream, as if i am not on the gd run from guards on horse back. "We're so tough and strong and awesome" they declare actively sobbing while they tell each other the history of rebellion.
These characters are allegedly in their late teens but are acting like they're 12. TEMU The Hunger Games vibes. Yeah I am being real mean but this book is mad annoying so far.

I am honestly sick and tired of reading this gender dynamic. If this wasn't for a reading challenge I would have dropped it like a hot potato. UGH.
