Ok, Fred has grown on me a fraction, but really? it's the other characters that really make this story for me. Crystal, Bubba, Albert, they're the ones who really make this book for me.

Fred is such a pig. Yeah he's boring but damn his judgmental attitude is fucking off-putting. Fatphobia, "not like other guys" bullshit, misogyny, he is awful. I'm gonna keep with this book because I've been interested for a while, but with all of the above plus Fred's weird way of talking (yes not all late 20's people talk the same way but this is so old fashioned), Fred is not a fave of mine

This book is so unexpected and delightful.
