Status Updates From The Utterly Uninteresting a...

I don't even remember when I added this book to my TBR or who I saw read it or if I found it on my own, but it's been on my TBR on Goodreads for as long as I can remember. Excited to finally check it off my list. Not expecting a 5 star but hoping it's fun.

So far we have: A high-school reunion gone wrong and a LARP event gone wrong, a boring but funny vampire accountant, a badass female monster hunter (too good to be true but I love her), a zombie assistant, monsters galore and an embarrassment to professional necromancers like Cabal. Loving it, one credit in audiobooks well spent.

This is a super cute read. It's nice to have a comedy light hearted supernatural book. And the narrator for the audio book is fantastic! Love his different voices. Albert sounds like Mickey Mouse.

But so far women have been slut shamed and also talked badly about because of their choice to have plastic surgery after child birth.

I'm actually reading the graphic audio version of this because that wasn't available when last I listened. So far, it's immediately enjoyable.

Fun, easy read

Ok, Fred has grown on me a fraction, but really? it's the other characters that really make this story for me. Crystal, Bubba, Albert, they're the ones who really make this book for me.

Fred is such a pig. Yeah he's boring but damn his judgmental attitude is fucking off-putting. Fatphobia, "not like other guys" bullshit, misogyny, he is awful. I'm gonna keep with this book because I've been interested for a while, but with all of the above plus Fred's weird way of talking (yes not all late 20's people talk the same way but this is so old fashioned), Fred is not a fave of mine
