I hated every second of this book. I'm finally free. I'm not reading the second volume of the series, definitely. I don't recommend this book to anyone.

There are so many useless "plot twists" (I saw them coming from a mile away). Why? To make the story longer? Add more emotion? I don't really know. I'm really disappointed.

I saw the plot twist(s) coming from a mile away. I didn't believe it for a second.

The MC is like: "no, I can't do it, I'm a lady" or "I do want to because I said so". Girl, pick a side; don't be so incoherent.

I changed my mind. This book is filled with unexpected... terrible decisions. I'm astonished by how bad this author tries to fit in a standard commercial book character behavior. And the desperate attempt to make the "enemies to lovers" trope happen? Borderline pathetic and embarrassing. I don't like to be this mean but really, I don't think this book can be saved in any way.

I hate the main character and the love interest; in addition, they have no chemistry. I don't like where this is going.

Everything is so stereotypical and predictable; the main character is so boring and average.

This fantasy books are all the same. Same plot same chacacters. Feels like they are made with a mold.

The premise was interesting but for now it is just lots of bickering, nothing really happened, it's obvious who the love interest is, everything's predictable. The plot is mostly critique of the 1800s societal, which is okay but a bit boring for a fantasy book. If I wanted to read a book about the 1800s societal issues, I would have read non-fiction instead of fantasy.
The MC is stupid, or maybe just too innocent.

Brother, how could she is so stupid? What the hell? You have a shiny ring and you just wave it around, come on!!!!

I can't wait this book to be over.

I'm ranting man, I know, but trust me I'm justified.

Everything is poorly explained and the words are repetitive. Every character feels fake. The only reason this book doesn't deserve 1 star is because I've read books that were worse. I think I will give this book 2 stars not because it was "ok???" But because someone did the worst job trying to write a novel.

The style of the prose and the setting is really good, everything else is shit.
