I'm pretty close to abandoning this. Every time I turn around, someone or something is trying to hurt the dog. :-(

I am honestly not sure whether I will be able to finish this book. The main character's younger brother is always being cruel to the dog (and I don't mean just speaking angrily to her) ... and it's getting to me.

This book is turning out to be pretty cute!

There are some quite disturbing and distressing scenes in this book.

Still really struggling with this book. I read a lot of YA fiction and I'm finding the dialogue quite inauthentic. I loved the idea of the cute talking dog but Sadie seems void of personality.

Really struggling with this one!

Have listened to just about half of the book, enjoying most of it so far. There is one despicable character - am hoping for a major turn around or come-uppance.
