Auf Nightingales Handy, das ich ihm zu Weihnachten geschenkt hatte, versuchte ich es erst gar nicht - er schaltet es nur ein, wenn er jemanden anrufen will. Die neue Technik ist seiner Meinung nach ausschließlich zu seinem eigenen Komfort da, nicht zu dem von irgendwem anders.

It seems a bit slow to me. Having trouble staying interested. I don’t think I’ll read the next book in the series .

Why do I allways feel tense when Peter rings a doorbell and the author proceeds to describe the woman opening it?

So far its very information based which I'm struggling to grapple with. I'm sure the plot will get going the further I go into the book. But so far it's mehh?

Ah, yes Peter, that’s exactly what you want to do in a hostage situation.

When a little girl in Victorian clothing stares motionless at you from a distance, what would you do? I would just walk away. But not Peter, no no, he is a proper Bobby, and would go investigate. Good job Peter.

The idea of Molly reading The Naked Chef by Jamie Oliver is very entertaining to me.

It's been a while since I read the earlier books in the series, and it's taking me a bit to remember and get my bearings, but I'm also remembering why I liked the series.

There are perfectly human monsters on this planet.

I'm nearing the end of this one. I have read all four one after the other and intend to carry on until I catch up with the series. They are such fun. As a reader you have to suspend belief and just go with the flow but the author's knowledge of the workings of the MET and the geography of London are really impressive. I don't think I will review each book but suffice it to say I am totally hooked on these.
