Plot twist: This story actually HAS a plot?!?

She works as a receptionist at a pediatric clinic and her boss doesn't care if she misses work for three days?!?!

The pattern so far is:

1) Have sex twice
2) Justin says some thing rude and he and Kayla ALMOST get in a fight

"Justin had proven time and again that he did want me. A monster who never once judged me or my looks. A monster who showered compliments and voiced his attraction for me. Hell yes. He'd even resorted to stalking, breaking in my apartment, hacking my computer..."

Like are all of these are desirable qualities now?

"By the time I've finished with you, Kala, you're going to be sore. Very, very sore."

I'm so glad we've clarified the level of threat the troll represents.

"he smelled good--as if he'd recently showered using lilac-scented body wash."

This isn't even close to being sexy. Its creepy and cheesy

"Sometimes bad trolls could be good trolls."
Well ok then, white female protagonist.

"A little overweight at five feed and 125 pounds, I'd struggled with weight since the age of twelve. But that's life. No one's perfect. No body's perfect, and I had nice features like wheat blond hair, green eyes and a shapely figure."

Ohhhh! This is going to be trash of the HIGHEST possible quality....

chapter 2 was very concerning and as a main character, she is absolutely vapid. the man is worse, because people like him exist, and this could happen of a woman was unknowingly led into their trap. this is not okay. her reactions are also not okay. I'm not reading anymore.

already I hate this writing. the character is telling and telling. not showing. word choices are questionable. nevertheless, this book was a gift so I'll give it a chance.
