Ugh, just get together already.

I've been liking this book so far, even with it's faults. The hurried marriage in the corner seems lame (so does the fact that even though it's kinda fake, it's also real enough to require an official annulment even though they weren't married in front of witnesses/clergy).

Also, why is there a dowager sultan? The line is matrilineal. Unless the dowager married into the royal family. But it's not clear...

It’s going down easy, like I said earlier apparently this is what I was in the mood for. Very light fantasy and light world building focus on the main characters and their relationship. I don’t always like that but yeah. A little unnecessarily inconsistent at times. Like I’m not expecting too much I’d say of this book but the language is quite inconsistent and the world is only semi formed I’d say.

This is quite funny. I’m loving these characters

Pre-read: I’ve been avoiding this one bc my expectations are high,,,,, but it’s finally time (I’m scared)
