Starting off a bit interesting. I think I am going to like this one so far.

Blerrrghhhh they weren’t kidding, the middle of this book is dragging. It would be more interesting if the author didn’t dedicate pages, and yes, I mean pages, to boring details like the character thinking about her wound, and mulling over already-established questions. I find myself thinking, “yes, yes, move it along already.”

So far okay. Is the author self-publishing now? Needs a bit of editing. Some of the language/descriptors translate as clunky and there are some sentences I swear my eyes don’t want to read no matter how many times I try to reread them. Getting a bit boring. One last critique: she shoulda Donna Tartted this and skipped to the plot sooner. Personal preference.

This arc slipped through when my phone was hating the NetGalley app. Time to give this a read and review
