I've read one of Saylor's novels about Gordianus earlier without enjoying it much, he doesn't manage to pull me into his story. This novella seems a chapter pulled out of a book at random, added a few mentions of Fafhrd and The Grey Mouser (known rogues) who have nothing to do with the story, as an excuse to get it printed in this book. Lazy.

Cornell's novel was the most challenging so far, but also rewarding. Don't think I'm fascinated enough by whimsical parallel universe worlds to pick up more of his Hamilton-books, though.

Best one yet! Daniel Abraham's dirty city and clever hero reminds me of Scott Lynch's Gentlemen Bastards. Maybe I've found a substitute until his health improves!

Cherie Priest's was short but enjoyable, I liked the mix of mythology and Christianity.
