Status Updates From The Monuments Men by Robert...

So far, excellent. It's a history show documentary that goes on for hours. Which, I realize, does not sound all that great if you don't like history BUT BOY DO I EVER sooooo....

Very interesting ! Very good book about history of art during the second world war !

From where I left off in my book, It starts off talking about Harry Ettlinger ,the kid from the beginning of the book. It begins with how he was the last Jewish kid to have a mitzvah in a certain part of Germany. After Harry's family moved from Germany they went to America.

From where I left off Robert Posey and the 3rd battalion, The battlion of George S Patton, were going through Italy to get some famous painting and historical items. One of the lines from General George S Patton from the chapters I read was, that a soldier said what happened here was it the Germans. Then General Patton said it was a war that made these ruins, the soldier said what war.The general responsed, Punic war

From where I left off the book starts talking about the monuments men, George stout, Robert Posey, and James Remdier. It starts their stories from when they first landed, two out of the three started on D-day. James came in the battle on Normandy after the first wave of soldiers.

From where I left off in Monuments Men, the story continues with Hitler's original passion of Art. He originally wanted to be a artist and when was rejected to the Academy of Fine arts Vienna by a panel of so called expert artist that Hitler thought was Jewish. After of wandering on the streets for nearly a decade, he wanted to get revenge and was going to, by building a large German Empire like the Romans.

but the story isn't about the synagogue it is about the priceless items and painting that they destroy. Also it is about how cruel and ruthless Hitler was to the Jewish people on Europe.
