"I thought I saw a familiar face. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was uncle Moshe!" This shows AHA Moment because as soon as Yanek saw someone that was in his family still alive he was shocked and super happy. Yanek could not believe it because everyone else in his family has died so it was just him and his uncle and he had to figure out how to stay alive without them.

"Seven thousand Jews! I thought trying to comprehend a number so big." This shows AHA Moment because as soon as Yanek heard that seven thousand Jews are going to have to be deported he knew that he was probably going to be one of them. Which, he was right he was selected and so he started freaking out because he would have to leave his family and would be sent to work and death camps. But just a little bit after that

"The Nazis gave us half a loaf of bread, and told us it was to last the whole trip." If that is supposed to be a lot of bread for them I would probably die of starvation like Fred within 2 or 3 days.
