Oh the possibilities toward the future, if only folks would be(come) honest with what they really want and act upon it!

At the point where Tarnas reviews how he came to research and apply the planetary correlations relative to that research. It's fascinating and if one is not aware can be repetitive. In any case, the point of the re-view is to 'ask' us in light of the planetary correlations today, what will be our future: will we evolve or self(collectively) destruct? It's what the ancients asked, and we're being asked again!

The outer planetary movements with the individual and social transits are fascinating! I love the fact that the transits are not always mechanical, but nevertheless tellingly profound! I'm on the Uranus/Neptune transit, and it's nice to have borders dissolve; it's also scary to be deceived and/or deluded.

I am upon the chapter which delves deeper into the pro and con revolution of the 1960's. What's striking about the book, is the outline of the people behind the French, Social, Civil Rights, creative arts (dance and Jazz) along with the technologies at the Uranus-Saturn cycles which coincide with the socio-political and technological changes! Fascinating!

Now, Tarnas goes from the relationships of the planets (with their archeytypal energies) as correlated to some famous figures (Lincoln v. Darwin), and ironically, Chapman v. Hitler. Fascinating! Still, context is the key, but the influences cannot be ignored.

The separation of self from the cosmos with the projection of the world and cosmos as being unthinking, unintelligent and what the Western thought paradigm associates with it, is the challenge of the book. What's striking me now, is Tarnas' research on planetary influences on individual psyches in order to determine one's uniqueness and contribution to universal understanding beyond the western paradigm.

In order to change how we think, a new (sometimes revolutionary) way of thinking has to take place. This is critical, in order to conceive and prove the new concepts that can, let alone do explain our cosmos ... and our way of thinking.
