The son seems to be the principal narrator, but then it's really hard to tell sometimes. There's a character key at the start, but otherwise very little help. When a novel is this confusing the reader gets a certain amount of latitude invent their own plot. I'm enjoying it.

The more I read of this, the greater my already strong sense of alienation from people around me.

The story isn't coherent, but the language the author uses is beautiful.

It's difficult to keep up with who the narrator is. The person doesn't say and the thoughts are shared by all who narrate. Because of the confusion this causes, the story isn't very fluid and is hard to keep up with.

Quite a hard, dense read. I don't know when I'll be able to finish this, but my goal is to do so until the end of the year.

Tough read but I am working my way through it....am mesmerized...

finding it difficult to read a book with no real sentence structure...

the style of this book mimics my thought process on morphine. it's jumbled, erratic, beautiful, confusing and wonderfully insensible.
