This biography is really touching since so far there are so many sacrifices in her family so that they can all live a healthy life with just basic necesitties, and then ontop of that you see how everybody makes a sacrifice in order for gabby to follow he dream. She started off living in a van with her single mom and 3 older siblings, and little by little she got the resources to enroll herself in gymnastics.

Im finding this autobiography very interesting. Its about a 2012 olympic gymnast, gabby douglas. I picked it up because my sister loves gymnastics and is really inspired by gabby, so after reading it she suggested I read it for my english homework assignment. Im enjoying it so far, learning about her and her family plus her struggles to make it to the olympics.

These is so little substance in this book. And I feel embarrassed reading this as the language is so juvenile.

Yeah, not impressed. It's more like a very top-level, surface view of Gaby's life. Sure, there are some anecdotes, but damn, the writing could sure use improvement.

Ho-hum. Where was the editor? And I guess I should have expected a heavy religious overtone because of the title, but wow. Didn't expect the Daniel and David stories to be told. In detail.
