Is Jack Reacher falling in love?? Is that why I’m listening to a spicy scene by LEE CHILD???

Going well so far

I can’t tell if Reacher is being stupid (which would be unusual) or if he’s holding back info and I’m about to be really, really surprised by a plot twist.

A bit confusing halfway through. About who is the suspect however makes it more interesting to keep reading.

It's really good! I'm hooked on Lee Child. I'm glad an action thriller author got me out of my belief that action thrillers were cringe, I must have just come across bad writers 😂

I was right... this story precedes Margrave's Killing Floor... but how does he get to Jacksonville?

Reacher's background is sprinkled through Child's stories and we hear how he got his silver star here... maybe longer elsewhere?

Is this the story Before Reacher leaves the Army and then goes to Margrave? At least we know this is how Reacher knows of Blind Blake in Margrave!

ch 38... stop to rest. but another great story... Child does his best work when Reacher is interacting with civilians! And, he's in a southern town near a base!

Am I to believe that extreme violence in the middle of the story? The rest of the story is right on point for our hero Jack Reacher.

Reacher meets Sheriff Elizabeth Deveraux: "She was more than flawless. She was spectacular."

Of course. Looks like Reacher's gonna bed the sheriff in this one. I'd be happy if I'm wrong.

Holiday reading has taken a turn for the ‘what eeengleesh books can you find in the B&B?’

Basic rule of thumb with six guys: you have to be quick. You can't spend more than the bare minimum of time on any one individual. Which means you have to hit each of them one time only. Because that's the mini-mum. You can't hit a guy less than once.
Sigh!!

The walk to the Greyhound depot was long but not difficult. Just a case of putting one foot in front of the other.

I'm enjoying this way more than I thought I would. It goes along at a great pace. You could jump in at any point in this series and be up to speed in a few pages.

We are reaching that critical point in all Reachers where I have to finish them as soon as humanly possible because i can’t focus on anything else BUT the clues presented so far.

I only have 9 more days with this and that might be 8 too many.
