This...doesn't feel very effective as a graphic novel. The colors are drab, the images aren't giving a clear sense of place or movement, the figures...seem to maybe rely on you recognizing people from photographs? Like, if I didn't know who Frida Kahlo is, I wouldn't have understood why her image was in the Mexico section.
