Questo libro dovrebbe essere tanto, ma tanto più famoso.

This is like a soap opera (but with more bloodshed) in which nobody cares about incest. To be honest, at this point I'm here only for the vocabulary.

A perfect read after Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman (or The Prose Edda by Sturluson, for example), as Anderson took norse mythology and fantasy to write this story in a very poetic and beautifully worded fashion. So far, so good.

The first 1//3 flew by, but now the story is really starting to slog. Author is trying to be Tolkien with added "poetry" and lots of unnecessary descriptive detail. I hope it picks back up...

Interesting but showing it's age. More of a greek tragedy meets Brothers Grimm meets Norse folklore.

I will say comparisons to LotR or Narnia are fairly weak. This book, in my opinion, has so far paled in comparison to those works. The races contained within seem almost uninspired in comparison. Tolkein took things and made them his own, re-designed them, gave them character and life. TBS is lacking in soul atm.
