Why do I not like it when the action starts in my books recently; seems cheap compared to the build-up and context that got me intrigued and invested in the first place.

It's a good detective read. We have a victim that Stone has met before and a villain that Stone has had arrested before, convicted and hanged. He is dead-or is he? Of course he has a new woman in his life, Callie. Actually, he has three women around him that he has slept with in previous adventures. Dino is helping with the case, we love Dino. I'm anxious to figure out if Bartlett, is Paul Manning.

My husband bought me 118 used books from an older lady who loved mystery/crime thrillers. I’ve never read Stuart Woods before, but this book is starting great!

Still better than Choppy Water, but the fake-outs are getting to me a little.

I'm finding a lot of this book entertaining, but this is the 3rd time Juanito has agitated out of nowhere with a cordless phone and I can't tell if it's a gag or an oversight

A typical Stuart woods book. Not really that good or bad. I don’t care for the mystery either.

This novel should be called duelling women. It brings together a number of Stone’s former/new lovers through subterfuge and fairly silly coincidences. Not one of the Wood’s best by a long-shot. Annoying, in fact.

I have a book of it, but it was on the 56th page only, and I recently find it at the book stores but I can't find any of it so i'm definitely sad.

It's a Stuart Woods' book. That says it all. Fantastic!

I love Dino

Well I guess Stone is not a complete man whore after all.

I don't trust her just about every woman Stone knows is crooked.

The narrator is the only thing keeping me going. It could have been at least 100 pages.

Slower than most of Woods novels

I believe this is my first novel by Stuart Woods. Good so far....not easy to put down.
