Status Updates From How War Came: The Immediate...

I have taken a huge break on reading the book. I admit I may have been getting board with it, but now I am back at it.

I am a quarter of the way into the book, at times it gets boring. I have to expect this. The book is full of facts of what was happening during the time leading up to the start of the war. I will read on and keep updating as I go. Finished reading about Chamberlain’s decisions if Britain is going to help Poland, what Hitlers plan is about Danzig.

Very detailed, no rock left untouched so far. Started with the current situation of Europe at that time, then went into Hitlers plan of starting a new war, Germanys situation, moved into Englands position for 2 chapters. I just finished the chapter on Russia and their stance. The author has not left much out including Italy and the smaller European countries that were affected by Hitlers plan.

"How War Came" is a history of the last year of peace before the beginning of the Second World War in September 1939. So far there has been a lot of misunderstanding, stupidity and childishness, and that is among the diplomats and leaders of the so-called Great Powers!
