of all scenarios to contemplate suicide, this makes the least sense. you can tell the author shoehorned a bunch of ridiculous shit to make it seem like everyone abandoned her (how tf do you casually forget your flight is in an hour so you have to leave without telling anyone? how does ur grandpa conveniently die but dw its not traumatic because the focus is emmas depression and no one elses?)

the authors forgotten emma cut her hair to her chin shes suddenly being desciribed as having long flowing curls lmao. i also don't understand the point of the POV changes, because its not like we're hearing their thoughts or we're getting anything relevant, it just changes the pronouns and makes it confusing to understand who's talking. and they switch every two paragraphs.

oh yeah totally, because the alcoholic who was bedrotting for over two days, refuses to wear any makeup and quit exercise and sports FOR 2+ YEARS and is constantly described as 'skinny thin slim skinny skinny thin' suddenly has bronze, toned skin and looks SOOOO hot in a bikini that all the boys literally stopped and stared and dropped their jaws and said "woah....."
