I think the statement of the story is that when you have too much of something you should try to get rid of it and balance it out.

This book is about divorce and moving and the parents just had a big fight over a splinter the dads Grammy gave him. The dad is a collector and has stuff ALL over the house, but his son Benny is hatching a plan to get rid of some of the dads stuff.

Bennys parents got divorced and Benny's mom is making a thing called a Bienget and a cup of coffee for the workers cleaning up the town. Benny's dad says that he talked to a counsler and will stop hoarding.

Dennis Acres won Americas most charming small town, the picture they drew didn't look like Dennis Acres at all so they had to clean up but a tornado hit and ruined the whole town. When the U.S Represitives came to look at it to call them the winners they saw it was ruined and they will pay to rebuild the town just like the picture is.

Benny keeps going to Myron's to do radio interviews and he payed the phone bill so his mom could call him because she left his dad.
