How can anyone capture Mendel and Sean when they can teleport?

This book is nothing at all like the blurb, characters mentioned aren't even really the main characters. Still it's a good story. Could be a little more fleshed out. Lots of story compressed in a small page count.

Wait, they're trying to figure out how someone got into an impenetrable tower then they just teleport out of it with magic? Really?

Huh. The author seems to have skipped over the most interesting part-- the lead character learning to use his magic and getting to know his new "mate." Weird.
