Status Updates From An Unpleasant Walk

This is such a great story. I am especially enjoying the changes made to the Bennets, especially Mr. Bennet, Mary and Kitty. I wish there was more Darcy/Lizzy interaction, though. Elizabeth is still recovering - I wonder if she is going to be back to her sparling, confident self. I hope she will, but I am by no means sure. Her recovery is slow and painful.

I did not expect to become so interested in this book. This is not an easy read, because of the subject matter and, but it feels like a Regency story. And I am absolutely loving Darcy here.

Last time I read this was in 2015, and it just came up yesterday in a GR "conversation" with some Austenesque friends. I was in the mood to revisit an old friend (as in a previously read book) when I was finished my current book anyway, so this is the one I picked up. The first chapters are seriously intense, and I love, Love, LOVE this Darcy! Not a lighthearted story, but it's just so excellent.
