The ghastly description of cannibalism of the tribes of the upper Nile and Congo as recently as 1908. That it was practiced by Egyptians ,Sudanese and were indulgent whenever opportunity presented itself. However, claims that the cult of Osiris curbed those tendencies, they did not stop the ritual of sacrifice of victims of battles to their gods.
