Continuing my thoughts, the way he looks differently but is treated the same, the discussion his parents have about how mice are represented in media and how they think it will affect him, the way his family adapts their home so he can be independent. I can see why this might be a really good book for kids to learn about things like that. Although he should have maybe wrapped up his lil tantrum at the end better.

Okay I never read it as a child so I’m curious to reread Charlotte’s Web and compare tone. This one feels like one that maybe older kids won’t be as willing to read. It’s simple, but the tone feels geared even younger than Tuck and Little House for example. Also it just begins? Very little intro, interesting. But then it just ENDS?! No resolution? Crazy. But I see a lot of good lessons about being different.

Not really the same vibe as The Hobbit, but Bjorn is pretty thrilled. Stuart is kinda the worst but the writing is fun overall so far.
