Status Updates From The Thief Lord

That was a satisfying ending to a fun book. I agree with a reviewer on this site that Prosper could've had more character depth. He was a flat character.

I enjoyed the messages about valuing family (Prosper and Bo's close relationship) and found family.

"And you, Ernesto," Ida replied, "probably have a wallet where other people have a heart."

That didn't make me laugh out loud, but I still thought that dialogue from Ida was funny. 🙂

I also liked how the characters who seemed antagonistic at first became close with Prosper and company throughout the book. That was heart-warming. Light reads are the best!! Since I loved Inkheart as a pre-teen, I'm glad that I read another book by Cornelia Funke.

This might seem mean, but I'm amused by Barbarossa's fate. He got what was coming to him.

I feel like the walking dead. I am So. Tired. Fortunately, the chapter that I just read was short. There's not much that I can write without posting spoilers. 🤷‍♀️

"What on earth is she thinking of? The boy isn't like a shoe that she can try on and then throw away again because it doesn't fit her."

This is why Ida Spavento is a mensch. 😁😍💜

I'm not surprised by the latest turn of the events wrt Prosper.

I can relate to Prosper wrt feeling gloomy and being difficult to cheer up sometimes. I feel that way from time to time, especially if I'm struggling with ruminating thoughts.

Now that Hornet is okay she wants to ensure that Prosper and Bo are alright. ☺️🥰

I'm glad that Scipio is a multifaceted character. He had compassion for Hornet when she was in a shitty situation.

I was being too critical of some of the characters. There's more to some of them than meets the eye. Ida Spavento was kind and helpful to Prosper and company. ☺️
