Status Updates From Omega Path (Outlanders, #4)

Some time travel and unexpected plot twists make this a thrilling pulpy adventure. Highly readable and looking forward to the next!

After they return to their own time, lick wounds, and compare notes, the group launches a rescue mission into the barony they escaped in book 1 or 2 (I've started this series with #3 thanks to an eBay lot). Meanwhile, Kane's nemesis in the barony (a right jackass called Salvo) is hatching grudge match plans of his own... Nice cross cutting between Cerberus Team and the barony's torture chambers build suspense.

Picks up right after Savage Sun with the team mat-transing with unknown tech. For the first few chapters Kane, Brigid, Grant & Domi are separated and ghosting through time. Some interesting views of 20th Century history as tied to the secret conspiracy that is coming to fruition in the story's main time (200 years after the nukecaust). Like the previous volume, this balances thrills, science and myth in neat ways.

I like the direction this is going in. Salvo got some of his due and is now an accused traitor.
