The team wins the state championship even tho all the adversity they went through. The team beat all the odds and came out on top. I think you should have independent reading in your class i did find it valuable because students usually don't read at home.

The team plays up against their old quarterback Johnny Theil. But their defense is more worried about hurting him than keeping him from scoring. It was an emotional game for the patriots because they lost 6-16 or something like that. Coach J.T. says this after the game "losing will never be accepted here at any level or for any reason. We can't use the storm as an excuse."

"Either we heal as a team or we are going to crumble. Inch by inch, play by play, 'til we're finished. We are in hell right now, Gentlemen, believe me. And we can stay there and get the crap kicked out of us or we can fight our way, back into the light. We can climb out of hell one inch at a time."
This is my favorite quote because it's coach J.T. giving a speech right before their first game it motivates the team.
