Beth Schmelzer I have been reading the Agatha nominees for Malice Domestic 30 conference in Bethesda at the end of April. It will be tough to vote, but I have read all 4 of the MG children's mystery novel. (not a huge fan of the YA choices each year: too scary). My 12-year-old grandson and I love "The World's Greatest Detective" by Caroline Carlson. Read it and see if you love it as we do. My second choice is "Harlem Charade" by Natasha Tarplay. I read them both this summer so I could nominate my favs! BTW, just became friends online and by phone with Cindy Callaghan who wrote the fun "Sydney MacKenzie Knocks 'Em Dead." She is the only nominee to attend the conference. Do you live near enough to go? It's a great fan and writer conference.
