"Okay from this round I made a very interesting observation relating the WWI Christmas truce and the Murat Kutuzov ceasefire (mentioned in the book)
Both upper commands were worried about "Humanizing the enemy" which I never really thought of it being a very important prerequisite to any war front or conflict

Nothing more to add just an interesting observation"

Ilan Pappé
“The orders came with a detailed description of the methods to be employed to forcibly evict the people: large-scale intimidation; laying siege to and bombarding villages and population centres; setting fire to homes, properties and goods; expulsion; demolition; and, finally, planting mines among the rubble to prevent any of the expelled inhabitants from returning.”
Ilan Pappé, The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine

Seneca
“To consort with the crowd is harmful; there is no person who does not make some vice attractive to us, or stamp it upon us, or taint us unconsciously therewith.”
Seneca, Letters From A Stoic: Epistulae Morales AD Lucilium (Illustrated. Newly revised text. Includes Image Gallery + Audio): All Three Volumes

Lao Tzu
“Don’t glorify heroes, And people will not contend. Don’t treasure rare objects, And no one will steal. Don’t display what people desire, And their hearts will not be disturbed.”
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Marcus Aurelius
“Remember that to change your mind and to accept correction are free acts too. The action is yours, based on your own will, your own decision—and your own mind.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
