Erik Jacobson is the author of “Pond Hockey: Kita Learns to Skate,” a children’s picture book with illustrations by Erik’s father, Robert.

Erik lives in Moscow, Idaho and is the son of sculptor Jeanne Jacobson and graphic artist and publisher Robert Jacobson. Robert is also the author/illustrator of the children’s picture book, “The Green Cat.” He and Erik opened Longfeather Book Design in 2008 where they worked together until his passing in 2020. Erik has two older sisters: Heather Nelson and Jayme Jacobson.

Erik is a lifelong fan of skating and is an amateur hockey historian/herstorian and skating coach. His pleasures are finding wild outdoor ice, great kid lit, and making music (or “noise,” as his neighbors describe it). He has written a ...more

So grate! Update: re-read. George Saunders writes great books, and I have now completed the cycle, starting and ending with this one. Fox 8 is by far my favorite. It somehow makes me intensely sad and happy at the same time. Like nothing else I have e ...more
