With a professional background in acting, directing, and teaching, Libby has consequently been writing and narrating in various capacities for a number of years. She taught Language Arts and Writers Workshop to fifth and sixth grade students for nearly a decade. In addition to her Masters thesis, a case study examining the process of teaching English as a Foreign Language through the use of drama, she co-wrote, and later co-produced and performed in, a theatrical rendition of a popular 1980s computer game called “The Oregon Trail”.

THERE'S A RAINBOW IN THE MUD is her first picture book, which came about shortly after a family tragedy in which her three-year-old niece/goddaughter was left as an only child.

SPARTAN TOUGH in SoCAL

About a week and a half ago, I had the pleasure of competing in the SoCal Spartan Sprint in Temecula, California. The Spartan Race is an obstacle course through the mud, involving barbed wire, freezing water, ropes, wooden walls, and just general jumping over, under, and through exorbitant amounts of mud, dirt, rocks, gravel, sand, water, and fire.  It. Jodi Picoult
“Maybe who we are isn't so much about what we do, but rather what we're capable of when we least expect it.”
Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper

Norton Juster
“You may not see it now," said the Princess of Pure Reason, looking knowingly at Milo's puzzled face, "but whatever we learn has a purpose and whatever we do affects everything and everyone else, if even in the tiniest way. Why, when a housefly flaps his wings, a breeze goes round the world; when a speck of dust falls to the ground, the entire planet weighs a little more; and when you stamp your foot, the earth moves slightly off its course. Whenever you laugh, gladness spreads like the ripples in the pond; and whenever you're sad, no one anywhere can be really happy. And it's much the same thing with knowledge, for whenever you learn something new, the whole world becomes that much richer.”
Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth
