I am an Australian author, born in, raised and living on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Aus., where I live with my husband of 26 years and our 6 adult children, 3 grandchildren, and grandpuppy "Lucky the cavoodle".

My first novel "The Path Chosen" is set in and around Sydney, in 1858 AND 2018, and touches upon several social issues and how their worth differ in, and with, each generation.

Tough questions, mate. :) Being a self-trained author and high-school dropout doesn't open many publication doors, I'm afraid. I did try my hand at a few publication houses in Australia, but failed to receive any replies. While scanning the internet, searching for a home for The Path Chosen, I came across Desert Breeze Publishing and loved what they had to say in their "About" and "Submissions" sections. They felt right, so I sent my manuscript off to them, and they accepted it.

Upon reading The Path Chosen, you will receive the Aussie experience -- as I know it -- and I'm hoping the reader will embrace that in order to get a better feel for the characters and Australia. Mind you, it must be said, that many of the characters from 1858 are British, with those of 2015 being Australians. (less)
