Down Time

My deteriorating health put me in the hospital for two short stints in the latter half of April.  After the first I managed to catch up on missed posts, but after the second I decided to take the week off and pick up the following Sunday. So there were posts, but fewer than usual.

“Paul never preached a message of rules to follow, nor did the other apostles. Rather, they preached that we must love God and each other, and avoid any message that attempts to list the do’s and don’ts of pleasing God.”

“The fruit that appears in your life springs from the nature of the life within you.”
Mark Joseph Young, About the Fruit

“We must come to understand the Gospel of Christ in a way that most Christians fail to grasp it, not as an introduction to a new code of conduct but as a way of salvation in which what we do does not bring us to it but naturally flows from it.”

“The fruit that appears in your life springs from the nature of the life within you.”
Mark Joseph Young, About the Fruit

“1) Joseph Wade Kondor never knew what hit him. Oh, he could see it well enough--well enough to empty half a clip from his army-issue M-16 into it--but he never knew what it was. It closed fast and hit hard, and if the bullets slowed it down at all, he never knew it. He was dead--for the second time.
