As a writer, my mission is to help people understand emerging technology and the underlying science. For a time, I wrote science fiction and fantasy stories, with themes of how people interact with nature and technology (I consider technology the mechanical arm of nature: humans create technology, and are part of nature). I'm working on a non-fiction project, a self-help approach to understand all those crazy posts, apparently based on scientific evidence, that populate social media. I blog on understanding science, new technology, and related businesses.

I started out my professional career as a scientist, doing research in cancer biology and genetics. The last two decades I've been in the business of bringing new technologies to people.
