I was born in Essex England, and grew up on the Isle of Wight from the age of three. At the age of 22 I moved permanently to Ireland, where I lived in West Cork, and more recently in Co. Roscommon. For most of that time I was teaching children with Special Needs and raising my three children with my husband.

After taking early retirement, I am enjoying writing books for children, playing with our four grandchildren when we see them (as they live in U.S.A. and New Zealand) and I take an active role in my local writers' group.

I write children's books because I enjoyed reading as a child, I taught children and believe in the power of books to foster imagination and creativity, and because I am a child at heart if the truth be known.

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules.
