Thanks for the heads-up! That's so obnoxious when a book is well-written and then KA-BLAM! There's an annoying scene that one would rather not deal with or remember.
I have a favor to ask of your editorial/English-teaching skills. Would you go over a chapter of that story I'm working on? Maybe I'll call you tonight to discuss it with you?

Em, don't read The Thirteenth Tale. I couldn't get through the first few chapters, and I seldom give up on a book. It would definitely be R rated -- and I know I'm more tolerant about that stuff than you are.
