Skylar Hamilton Burris is the author of five novels, including three sequels to Pride and Prejudice, a collection of poetry, and numerous essays and short stories. Driven by a love of traditional, meaningful poetry, Skylar founded Ancient Paths Literary Magazine in 1998.

Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman

This children’s book was considered groundbreaking in 1991 for its message that stereotypes are to be defied. The illustrations have the quality of realism (almost like photographs). I appreciated Grace’s love of stories from classic literature.
